Enhancements in ANSA

Comparison Scenario Settings

A new option named "Search for common bounds" expands the geometric differences between compared models and expands them until common bounds are located (i.e. bounds that can be pasted). This further improves the topological integrity of model comparison results.

Data Management

New options that affect the handling of Internal/ External Connections, Connectors, GEBs, and Model Setup Entities, during "Change Representation" offer now the capability to select whether these entities will be kept or deleted.

Known issues resolved in ANSA

Connections & Assembly

Applying a Connector defined on Assembly Points, while Loadcase Points were pointing to the corresponding Interface nodes of the Assembly Points, could cause unexpected termination.

FE Representations

Fixed unexpected termination in the cases where a seamline with MPC-CBUSH-MPC representation connects a curvy feature line to a flange.

Shell Mesh

Executing the Extrude [Glide] functionality inserting a negative value at Steps field, could lead to unexpected termination.

DECKs

Unexpected termination might occur, if an invalid entry was specified in the SID or LCID fields for NASTRAN and LS-DYNA decks respectively.

For more details about the new software features, enhancements and corrections please, refer to the Release Notes document.

Known issues resolved in EPILYSIS

SOL200

Unexpected termination could occur when SPCF was used as a response type in DRESP1.

Parameters

The issue with unreadable .op2 due to large records size has been fixed with the addition of the OP2RECSZ parameter.

For more details about the new software features, enhancements and corrections please, refer to the Release Notes document.

Enhancements and known issues resolved in META

Occupant Injury Criteria

It is now possible to define more than one user limits in the relevant column of the dummies' spreadsheets and define each with a different color.

EU-NCAP MPDB

It is now possible to select and hide elements multiple times.

Compatibility assessment creates now two pages for each assessment, containing their timestep in each page's name.

Known issues resolved in META

General

Unexpected termination could occur, when drawing both BEAM elements and Contact Entities while having the Vector Fringebar activated.

Switching between different pages performance has been improved.

Read Results

Unexpected termination could occur while reading CFD .fld result files exported from SC_TETRA.

Annotations

Unexpected termination could occur when creating annotations that contained parsable script call.

META Viewer

Report saved in project file could not be read in META Viewer.

For more details about the new software features, enhancements and corrections please, refer to the Release Notes document.

Compatibility and Supported Platforms

ANSA files saved by all the first and second point releases of a major version are compatible to each other. New major versions can read files saved by previous ones but not vice versa.

META Project files saved from version 19.1.4 are compatible and can be opened by META version 16.0.0 or later. To be readable by META versions earlier than v16.0.0, they have to be saved selecting the option "Version <16.0.0".

Support for 32-bit platform has been discontinued for all operating systems.

New documentation

  • DECKs
    • Skin creation

  • NVH Console
    • Create Components and Reduced Modeling
    • Create Connectors

What to download

All files required for the installation of this version reside in the folder named "BETA_CAE_Systems_v19.1.4" and are dated as of September 19, 2019. These files should replace any pre-releases or other files downloaded prior to that date.
The distribution of this version of our pre- and post-processing suite is packaged in one, single, unified installation file, that invokes the respective installer and guides the procedure for the installation of the required components.

For the installation of the software on each platform type, download from the respective folders, the .sh file for Linux or the .msi file for Windows.

In addition to the above, optionally, the META Viewer is available to be downloaded for each supported platform.

The tutorials and the example files reside in the folder named "TUTORIALS". This folder includes the complete package of the tutorials and example files, and a package with only the updated ones.

The Abaqus libraries required for the post-processing of Abaqus .odb files are included in the installation package and can be optionally unpacked.

Earlier software releases are also available in the sub-directory called "old" or in a folder named after the product and version number.
